Launch the app and log in.
From the Home screen or Live View, tap the gear icon (⚙️) next to your camera or recorder.
Go to:
Settings → Alarm Settings → Alarm Detection
Tap Motion Detection
Adjust the detection area
Use the brush icon to draw areas
Use the eraser to remove parts of the zone
Set Detection Time
Choose All-Day or Custom Schedule
Set Sensitivity
Choose High, Medium, or Low
Enable Alarm Snapshot (optional) to capture an image when motion is detected
📌 Note: Settings made in the app will override device-side configurations.
Go to Settings → Alarm Settings → Customize Alarm Sound
Choose from:
Text-to-Speech: Type a phrase that gets converted to audio
Voice Recording: Record a short 6-second audio alert
Save your chosen sound
Go back to Alarm Detection, enable:
Alarm Sound: On
Choose the saved sound
Set a linkage mode (Day/Night or custom time)
In Alarm Detection, scroll to Flashing Light
Enable it and select:
Linkage mode (e.g., Day/Night or Custom Schedule)
Light will flash when motion is detected within the set time
Go to Settings → Allow Alarm Notifications
Turn on Receive Alarm Messages
On your phone, go to System Settings → Notifications → UNV-Link App and enable alerts
Walk in front of the camera
Check that your custom sound plays and light flashes
Confirm that you receive a notification on your phone
If motion detection or alerts aren’t working:
Make sure your camera model supports alarms and lighting features
Confirm that the detection area and time settings are correctly configured
Ensure your mobile notification settings are active
