Locate the reset button on the bottom of the TP-Link WiFi extender.
Use a paper clip or similar tool to press and hold the reset button.
Hold it for 15 seconds, then release.
Wait up to 1 minute for the extender to complete the factory reset process.
On your WiFi router/gateway, locate the WPS button.
It may be labeled “WPS” or display an icon of two arrows forming a circle.
Press and hold the WPS button for 5 seconds, then release.
Go back to the TP-Link WiFi extender.
On the top of the extender, press and hold the WiFi button for 5 seconds, then release.
Wait up to 2 minutes for the devices to sync.
You’ll know the sync is complete when you see 4 solid blue LED lights on top of the TP-Link extender.

If Your Router Does Not Have a WPS Button
Connect to the Extender: On your smartphone connect to the extender's default Wi-Fi network (e.g., TP-LINK_Extender_XXXXXX).
Access the Setup Page: Open a web browser (safari or chrome) and enter http://tplinkrepeater.net or http://192.168.0.254 into the address bar. Create a new login password for secure management.
Configure the Extender: Follow the on-screen instructions to select your existing Wi-Fi network and enter its password. Once configured, the RE LED should turn solid on.
Method 3: Using the TP-Link Tether App
Download the App: Get the TP-Link Tether app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Connect to the Extender: Ensure your smartphone is connected to the extender's default Wi-Fi network.
Launch the App: Open the Tether app, select your extender, and follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.
