How to Add a NVR/DVR or Camera to the UNV-Link App

Follow these simple steps to add your Uniview NVR (or other device) to the UNV-Link app for remote access to live view and playback.

✅ What You Need Before Starting:

  • Your UNV recorder powered on and connected to the internet (via Ethernet or Wi-Fi)

  • Your smartphone with the UNV-Link app installed

  • The QR code or register code located on the device or quick start guide

  • The device password set during initial setup

Step-by-Step Guide

Launch the UNV-Link app on your phone.


2. Tap the "+" (Add Device) Icon

Located at the top-right corner of the Home screen.


3. Choose Your Method

You can add a device by:

  • Scanning the QR code on the recorder or manual

  • Scanning a saved image from your gallery

  • Manually entering the register code

📸 Tap the flashlight icon if scanning in a dark area.



4. Name Your Device

Enter a friendly name like "Office NVR" or "Home Recorder".


6. Enter Device Password (If prompted)

Input the password you set during the recorder’s initial configuration.

7. Tap OK or Finish

The device will be added and appear on your Home screen for live view and playback access.


ℹ️ Tips

  • You don’t need to sign up for a cloud account to use the app, but signing in offers backup and sharing options.

  • If the device doesn’t connect, double-check:

    • Internet connection

    • Correct password

    • That the QR code is not damaged or blurry
